Official Soap Ratings w/e 12th September

We all get excited about the overnight ratings, but its the officials that really count. We take a look at the official soap ratings released by BARB for week ending 12th September.

Official data is released by BARB, who measure audience figures. The officials takes into account timeshifts and recordings. The data below is from the Top 30 programmes of each channel.

BBC One

The Friday episode of EastEnders had the highest ratings of the week claiming just over 10million viewers. This was the episode in which Peggy Mitchell left the Square.

Monday 6th: 9.45m

Tuesday 7th: 8.60m

Thursday 9t: 9.40m

Friday 10th: 10.09m

ITV 1: The highest rated soap on ITV1 is Coronation Street. An impressive 9.8 million viewers tuned in on Monday.

Coronation Street

Monday 6th: 9.88m and 9.82m

Thursday 9t: 8.36m

Friday 10th: 8.04m and 6.05m

Emmerdale

Monday 6th: 7.54m

Tuesday 7th: 6.85m

Wednesday 8th: 6.74m

Thursday 9t: 6.67m and 7.00

Friday 10th: 6.66m

Channel 4: Over on 4 only one episode of Hollyoaks made it into the Top 30, the Monday episode which appealed to 1.52 million the figures show.

Channel 5: Imported soaps Neighbours and Home and Away still perform well for the channel, but should be higher this time of year.
