NBC remaking The Munsters

Entertainment Weekly are reporting that NBC have ordered a pilot for a remake of the 1960s sitcom The Munsters.

 

NBC are set to remake the 1960s sitcom series The Munsters and Bryan Fuller is onboard for the project; that’s according to Entertainment Weekly. NBC has ordered a pilot episode for a remake of the sitcom and Bryan Fuller is currently working on the pilot order. Fuller will be familiar to audiences for his quirky drama Pushing Daisies and his work on Heroes. So far only a pilot has been ordered but Entertainment Weekly are describing it as ‘Modern Family meets True Blood’.

 

The Munsters originally ran on CBS between 1964 and 1966 clocking up 70 episodes. It starred Fred Gwynne, Yvonne De Carlo, Al Lewis, Butch Patrick, Beverley Owen and Mel Blanc.
