Coronation Street reveal pictures of anniversary explosion
This week has seen filming begin for the tram crash which takes place in December to mark the 50th anniversary of Coronation Street.
Pictures revealed in newspapers this week showed a huge fireball from an explosion at The Joinery. This will then cause the tram to crash onto the street, putting the lives of many at risk.
Speaking to the official Coronation Street website, producer Phil Collinson said “All week we’ve been filming the exciting and explosive moments that lead to the tram crashing from the viaduct. The early scenes are wonderful and everyone is pulling together through the night to bring the brilliant scripts to life. Now it’s time to start filming the dramatic scenes that explore the immediate aftermath of this terrible accident. Weatherfield will definitely never be the same again.”
