According to a report ABC are holding back its new detective drama Body of Proof until ‘midseason’. The new series which stars Dana Delany and Jeri Ryan was originally scheduled to premier during the ‘fall’ season on Friday evenings at 9pm – although no date of its premier was announced. Variety is now reporting that Body of Proof will be held back until ‘mid-season’ which is most likely January or later.
The series will therefore lost likely be moved out of the Friday night slot and will be used to replace gaps left by cancelled ABC shows; such as My Generation or the struggling Detroit 1-8-7. ABC will likely give Body of Proof ample time to wrack up viewer interest and promotion for its launch meaning the struggling shows could limp on for some time before they are pulled by ABC and replaced.
