Paul Daniels leaves Strictly Come Dancing
The magician and entertainer, who found it difficult to memorise the dance moves, is the second celebrity to leave the BBC One dance series following Goldie’s departure last week.
Tina O’Brien, suffering from Chicken Pox, automatically goes through to next week’s show due to being unable to perform yesterday, however if she is still unable to appear by next Saturday she will be booted from the show.
There are currently a couple of dancers that the judging panel are fond of these include Matt Baker, who was described last night as a “great dancer” while Scott Maslen was described as “almost a natural”. Both have wowed the judges over the past few weeks. As far as the ladies go former EastEnder Kara Tointon has also proved a hit with the panel.
Daniels has been the butt of host Bruce Forsyth’s jokes on the show, the pensioner presenter said last night that if Paul was to still be with the show next week a chairlift was to be fitted to the ballroom staircase. Daniels had a long and successful stage and television career peaking in the 1980s when millions tuned into his Saturday night primetime magic and entertainment show on BBC One.
He also hosted a number of top rating quiz shows for the beeb including Every Second Counts, Wipeout and Odd One Out.
