Lip Service continues strong performance for BBC Three

BBC Three’s new lesbian drama series Lip Service continued its strong performance on Tuesday evening. The new six-part drama, set in Glasgow, opened last week with nearly 600,000 viewers and Tuesday evening’s second episode maintained healthy figures only losing a small part of the audience. The second episode of Lip Service was seen by 579,000 viewers with an audience share of 4.7%.

While the new lesbian drama is doing well in the ratings it seems – rather predictably – that not all viewers are unhappy with it. Some viewers feel the drama is an unrealistic portrayal of lesbians while others are unhappy with the amount of sex within the episodes.
