Saturday Ratings: Over 7 Million Watch Cheryl Cole Interview
Overnight ratings reveal that over 7 million viewers watched Cheryl Cole be interviewed by Piers Morgan while The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing both enjoyed strong nights.
Strictly Come Dancing had a strong night for BBC One on Saturday evening with an average audience of 9.5 million viewers and a peak of 11.3 million viewers – its best performance of the series so far. Following at 7.45pm on BBC One was fantasy drama Merlin which had an impressive 5.8 million viewers while the National Lottery Draw had 3.9 million. Medical drama Casualty continued to suffer at the hands of ITV with just 4.1 million viewers followed by Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow at 10pm with 3.8 million viewers.
Over on ITV1 at 7.15pm Harry Hill’s TV Burp had 5.3 million viewers followed by The X Factor which had an average audience of 12 million viewers and a peak of 13.7 million viewers. Following The X Factor at 10pm was Piers Morgan’s Life Stories which featured Cheryl Cole. The X Factor judge was interviewed by Piers Morgan in an edition which had 7.2 million viewers and a peak of nearly 8 million viewers.
