X Factor fans are up in arms over Treyc Cohen’s exit from the ITV show last night and Cheryl Cole’s refusal to pick between her two acts. Treyc Cohen and Katie Waissel ended up in the bottom two and during her sing-off performance Waissel broke down again. When it came to voting Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh opted to send home Treyc Cohen while Dannii Minogue opted to send home Katie Waissel. Cheryl Cole was the second judge, following Cowell, to be asked for her vote by presenter Dermot O’Leary. However, Cole refused to pick between her two acts and host O’Leary told her that, as a result, it would become a “majority” vote.

The judges decision to send home Treyc Cohen and save Katie Waissel once again has prompted an angry reaction from many fans. Fans are also fuming over Cole’s refusal to pick between her acts accusing her of effectively betraying singer Cohen. Waissel has suffered from some bad publicity and viewer backlash for several weeks now and her survival in The X Factor last night looks set to fuel the controversy surrounding her survival .

Cant believe Trayc was sent home like that, it is a SINGING COMPETITION??? and also one of the judges did not vote so they should have used the public votes – X Factor fan writing on ATV Today

How many times does Katie have to forget her lines and be in the bottom two for the judges to realise that she has to go. The fact that Simon Cowell said he prefers the drama with Katie RATHER than the god given talent that TrayC has gives a clear indication that the X Factor is no longer a singing competition! – X Factor fan writing on ATV Today

The X Factor continues next weekend on ITV1.
