2010 was the year that the North East said goodbye to two iconic media landmarks; the ‘Trinity Square Car Park’ in Gateshead – made famous by the film Get Carter – and the studios of Tyne Tees Television on City Road in Newcastle. ATV cameras have captured the final months of the landmarks.
2010 was the year that the North East said goodbye to two iconic media landmarks; the ‘Trinity Square Car Park’ in Gateshead – made famous by the film Get Carter, but it also featured in many other northern-set series such as Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads – and the studios of Tyne Tees Television on City Road in Newcastle which produced over the years award winning dramas and documentaries, popular children’s programming, daytime game shows and of course the cult music series The Tube.
