Strictly and X Factor perform strongly for Saturday night

Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor continue to bring in millions of viewers

BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing attracted 11.35 million viewers last night, a considerable increase over this series and that of last year. The X Factor still maintained the most watched Saturday programme, with 13.2 million viewers tuning in to see the remaining acts tackle The Beatles hits. The show peaked at over 14 million, with Strictly over 12 million.

 The latest instalment of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! had 9.2 million viewers to ITV 1 to catch up on the latest jungle action. Earlier in the evening on BBC One, Merlin held up well, managing to capture over 6.5 million viewers. On ITV 1, Harry Hill’s TV Burp continues to grow, with 7.1 million viewers.
