Hugh Dennis to lead ‘Fast and Loose’ for BBC Two
The makers of Mock The Week are to launch a new comedy show featuring TV and music spoofs.
Fast and Loose will be hosted by Hugh Dennis, one of the panellists from Mock The Week, and star of hit comedy Outnumbered. The BBC said the show will be “Comprising a succession of lively games that spoof films, TV programmes and music”. Filming began last Tuesday.
Speaking of the new show, Dennis said “Fast And Loose is the ultimate team sport, with a group of fantastically clever character actors. They are the next generation of improvisers, and improvisation has moved on enormously. We have electronic trickery, animated chickens and blowfish as well as songs and games including a fantastic sideways scene. It is half an hour of controlled improvised silliness and there is no scoring and no stars. To quote David Cameron: ‘We are all in it together.'”
The eight part series will air in 2011.
