Myles, John Barrowman and Kai Owen are so far the only actors confirmed to be reprising there roles for the fourth series of Torchwood. The fourth series of the Doctor Who spin-off is being co-produced by the BBC and the American broadcaster Starz and will be 10 episodes long – it follows the highly successful 2009 mini-series, Torchwood: Children of Earth.

In an interview with Wales on Sunday actress Eve Myles revealed that filming for Torchwood: The New Earth would begin on 11th January 2011 – with broadcast expected to begin in the Summer. Filming is expected to take place in Los Angeles, Wales and other locations yet to be confirmed. The new series also boosts so impressive writers with Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Battlestar Galactica and Caprica scribe Jane Espenson is amongst the writers for the new series.
