Matt Smith has also praised the episode’s writer, Steven Moffat, for his “inventive” special and described A Christmas Carol as the most “Chrismassy” Doctor Who special so far. Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol will air on BBC One on Christmas Day at 6pm.
