Upstairs Downstairs Cast Photos

It’s no secret that this Christmas will see Upstairs Downstairs return to our screens after over 30 years only it’ll be on BBC One – it originally aired on ITV. Jean Marsh is reprising her role of Rose Buck for the new series and is joined by an impressive cast – and as an early Christmas Treat we’ve got a two cast photos to wet your appetite.

Jean Marsh is reprising her role of Rose Buck for the new series and is joined by an impressive cast; Keeley Hawes, Art Malik, Anne Reid, Adrian Scarborough, Ellie Kendrick and Nico Mirallegro.

 

Dame Eileen Atkins is also part of the cast having co-created Upstairs Downstairs with her friend Jean Marsh in the 1970s. Atkins was originally to have played servant Sarah in the original LWT series but was unable to do due to work commitments and the role was played instead by Pauline Collins. The Marsh-Atkins creation team also came up with the BBC 1990s drama The House of Eliott which followed the fortunes of two sisters (played by Louise Lombard and Stella Gonet) in 1920s London as they try to set up a fashion house.
