Chris Brancato is taking over show-running duties on Law & Order: Criminal Intent for the crime/legal drama’s 10th and final season. Brancato is taking over showrunning duties from Walon Green who is leaving the show entirely, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Brancato’s previous credits include fellow Law and Order series, Special Victims Unit as well as Boomtown and the original 1990s series of Beverly Hills 90210.
The 10th and final season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent will be eight episodes long with Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe returning to the spin-off but Jeff Goldblum and Eric Bogosian leaving. Criminal Intent is the second Law & Order series to be cancelled this year with the parent show having unexpected been cancelled by NBC over the summer. It was widely expected that Law & Order would return for a 21st and final series but a deal didn’t materialise in time for renewal.
