Cher Lloyd has finished fourth in the competition, as one of the final three await to hear the results tonight.

The finale weekend kicked off last night with all four acts singing two songs, one of which with a music star. Cher Lloyd sang with Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am, One Direction sang with Robbie Williams, Rebecca Ferguson was paired with Christina Aguilera and Matt Cardle with Rihanna.

The act that scored the lowest amount to win was eliminated from the competition at the end of the last night’s show. Cher Lloyd had controversially been saved last week over Mary Byrne during the semi-final.

Former painter and decorator Matt Cardle is favourite to win the competition. Matt has been favourite to win throughout the series and YouGov/The Sun poll put Matt way out in front to win the 2010 season of The X Factor.

The two hour finale kicks off tonight on ITV 1 at 7.30pm
