Pauline Quirke signs new Emmerdale contract
Actress Pauline Quirke has signed a new contact which will see her remain in Emmerdale for a further year.

Pauline Quirke has signed a contract with ITV soap Emmerdale to remain in the Yorkshire dales for a further year. The actress plays Hazel Rhodes, the mother of Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock) and was only intended to be part of the soap for several months.
However, the character of Hazel has become popular with fans now the actress has been offered a new one-year contract.
Emmerdale is produced by ITV Yorkshire in Leeds.
Pauline Quirke is still best remembered for her role of Sharon alongside Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph in the 1990s BBC sitcom Birds of a Feather.
Her most recent role prior to joining Emmerdale was as DS Blunt in the BBC daytime drama Missing and her other notable roles over the years include Down to Earth, Office Gossip, Shine On Harvey Moon and Maisie Raine.
In the 1970s Pauline also hosted a number of Thames Television children’s series for the ITV network, including her self-titled ‘Pauline Quirkes‘ entertainment and sketch show.
