Natalie Cassidy is to briefly reprise her role of Sonia Fowler in EastEnders in the New Year.

 

Natalie Cassidy is to briefly reprise her role of Sonia Fowler in EastEnders in the New Year, according to The Sun. The actress will return in the New Year briefly when her half-sister Bianca (Patsy Palmer) disappears from Albert Square. Sonia will return to tell Ricky (Sid Owen) and Carol (Lindsey Coulson) where Bianca is hiding.

 

True to form, Bianca has got herself into big trouble while trying to protect her family and, scared about what might happen, she does a runner. Sonia then turns up unannounced – and drops the bombshell that she knows where Bianca is and what she is going to do next. Natalie Cassidy quit EastEnders in 2007 but returned for several episodes in February of this year for the soap’s 25th anniversary. On-screen Sonia’s return was for the second wedding of Ricky and Bianca.
