US X Factor Pepsi deal?

The US version of hit music reality show The X Factor has agreed a deal with Pepsi for £35million.

According to The Mirror newspaper, the £35m deal to plug Pepsi on the new show towers over the deal of Pop Idol. The Idol show, which made Simon Cowell a star in America, has a deal with Coca Cola which is reportedly worth £23million. A source told the paper “The deal is ostensibly between broadcaster Fox and Freemantle, not Simon and his company Syco.”

The Coca Cola logo is blurred out when American Idol is screened on ITV 2.
