Sian Williams undecided on BBC Breakfast move

BBC Breakfast host Sian Williams has said that she has until March to decide whether to move Salford.

Sian Williams, who co-hosts with Bill Turnball on Breakfast has spoken for the first time on the move from London to Salford. The programme will be moving to Salford this year when the BBC starts to move operations to the new MediaCity UK complex.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Williams said “I haven’t made a decision yet. It’s a very personal thing for each of us on the programme…We’ve got until the end of March to decide and I need to sit down with my family and talk it through.”

BBC Breakfast has seen its ratings increase in the past few years averaging around 1.4 million viewers, compared to ITV’s Daybreak which is at 800,000 viewers. Bill and Sian have presented Breakfast since 2001, starting on Weekend Breakfast before moving to weekdays.
