ITV orders Corrie Web Spin-Off

ITV has ordered a web based spin-off from Coronation Street which will feature Ken (William Roache) and Deidre Barlow (Anne Kirkbride).

 

ITV has ordered a web based spin-off from Coronation Street which will feature Ken (William Roache) and Deidre Barlow (Anne Kirkbride). ITV have ordered 10 webisodes which feature the famous couple discussing the days events, arguing and the such like. Each webisode will run for three minutes each.

 

“With spilt tea on the sheets, flickering street lights from the cobbles and snoring habits high on the agenda, the night-time natter provides one last chance before the day ends for the bickering Barlows to discuss their differing approaches to life and living.” – ITV statement on spin-off

 

The series, Ken and Deidre’s Bedtime Stories, will start on the official Coronation Street website from February 14th. The Granada soap isn’t the first to launch an online spin-off with Hollyoaks and EastEnders both previously using their websites to launch exclusive content for their fans.
