Supernatural actor Jim Beaver hints that a seventh series of The CW drama could be ordered. Supernatural is currently in its sixth season on The CW and when it returns for all new episodes later this month it will be up against Fringe on Fox – as the quirky cult series moves to its new slot. Actor Jim Beaver plays Bobby Singer on Supernatural and has teased fans on Twitter over the possibility of a seventh season.
“We haven’t finished season 6 yet. If there’s a 7th (& I have no reason to doubt it), it’ll start filming in July (sic).” – Jim Beaver on Twitter
Supernatural’s creator Eric Kripke originally stated he had just a five year arc for the drama which many took to mean the series would end after its fifth season. However, The CW renewed the drama for a sixth year and boss Dawn Ostroff has hinted Supernatural could be back for more seasons. One stumbling block in the way of a seventh season are the contracts of stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles which runs out at the end of the current series.
