Matt Smith has given a few hints as to what fans can expect from the new season of Doctor Who including hints of a new monster that could “top” the Weeping Angels.
Matt Smith has given a few hints as to what fans can expect from the new season of Doctor Who. In an interview with the Doctor Who Magazine the 11th Doctor actor teased fans over the forthcoming new series saying that some of the monsters in the new series could top the Weeping Angels – the creepy statue monsters introduced in the critically episode Blink and re-introduced by Steven Moffat last year in a two-part story.
“There are some great monsters coming up in Series Two (the sixth season)….Steven had created the greatest monsters since the Weeping Angels. It might even eclipse the Angels” – Matt Smith in the Doctor Who Magazine.
The actor went on to add ‘I think they’re going to be a real hit. What other hints can I give you? There’s a great twist in Episodes 5 and 6″.The sixth season of Doctor Who opens with a two-part story set in America which see’s the return of Alex Kingston as River Song. The two-part story has been partially filmed in America, the first time Doctor Who has filmed in the country, and also see’s guest-star Mark Sheppard appear in the episode.
