The premier for the tenth season of American Idol kicked off last night on FOX in the US. The show has seen its biggest change in many years, with judges Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres all leaving the show and being replaced with Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

The two hour premier opened with new opening titles and an intro similiar to The X Factor. Simon Cowell quit Idol to launch The X Factor which will also be on FOX and ITV 2 later this year. You can watch American Idol tonight on ITV 2 at 8.00pm
