A round up of Torchwood: Miracle Day news which include new casting details and also details on which episodes are being written by Russell T. Davies. First up its being reported that actor William Thomas is reprising his role of Geraint Cooper, on a regular basis, for the new series. The character of the father of Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) and previously appeared in the season two episode Something Borrowed. At the moment though it seems as though Gwen’s mother Mary (Sharon Morgan) will not be returning.

 

In other casting news Lena Kaur will play Dr. Alicia Patel. Kaur is probably best known for her role of Leila Roy in Channel Four’s teen-soap Hollyoaks – appearing in the soap between 2008 and 2010. Danny Szam has been cast in a role named Surveillance. Szam has had a variety of roles including appearances in Skins, Doctors, Casualty, The Royal and Caught in a Trap.

 

Jane Espenson has confirmed each episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day will have its own episode title. The writer also revealed she has written episodes three, five, seven and eight. Episode eight is co-written by Ryan Scott. Russell T. Davies has written the first and closing episodes while John Shiban has written episode six and Doris Egan episode two.
