ChuckJosh Schwartz is ‘hopeful’ that NBC will commission a fifth series of comedy spy series Chuck. The series, starring Zachary Levi, has always been one described as “dodging cancellation” by some critics and its renewal for further seasons so far has surprised some. While Chuck has some critics on side its ratings have never been strong which is why the series has often been written off as facing cancellation by some. But co-creator and producer Josh Schwartz is ‘hopeful’ that NBC will order another series.

“I think NBC is really happy with how we’ve done. We remain ever hopeful about a fifth season.” – Josh Schwartz quoted on TVLine

Despite being ‘hopeful’ over the future of Chuck it was only last week that Schwartz said fans would need to ‘rally’ to see a fifth season and that the season four finale of Chuck could serve as a series finale should NBC cancel it.
