Jesse Metcalfe joins Dallas
Former Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe is joining TNT’s pilot for the re-launch of Dallas.
Another Desperate Housewives actor is joining the cast of TNT’s pilot for Dallas.
TVLine are reporting that Jesse Metcalfe has been cast in the role of Christopher Ewing; the adopted son of Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and Pamela (Victoria Principle).
According to plot details Christopher will clash with his cousin John Ross over the future of Ewing Oil in a similar way to the clashes between Bobby and J.R (Larry Hagman) in the original series of Dallas. Josh Henderson, who appeared in season three of Desperate Housewives as Austin, has already been cast in the role of John Ross.
Jesse Metcalfe played hunky gardener John in Desperate Housewives who famously had an affair with Gabrielle Sollis (Eva Longoria). His most recently role is on NBC’s Chase as Luke Watson. Also cast in Dallas is Veronica Mars actress Julie Gonzalo who will play Rebecca, Christopher’s fiancĂ©e.
So far confirmed for the new Dallas are original stars Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy and Larry Hagman with the new cast being made up off Jordana Brewster, Joss Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe and Julie Gonzalo.
