The BBC has confirmed the actor/comedian James Corden is to return to the forthcoming series of Doctor Who. Corden will reprise his role of Craig Owens from last years story The Lodger. The story saw the Doctor (Matt Smith) trapped on Earth and having to “lodge” with Craig while he tried to build a device to bring the Tardis to him as it was being displaced by the presence of a near-by time machine.
The BBC has now confirmed which episode Corden will appear on but according to the Doctor Who News Page the likely candidate is the episode penned by Gareth Roberts – who also wrote The Lodger. The episode is believed to start shooting soon – possibly the first week of March. It’s unclear if Corden’s return as Craig will be substantial or just a cameo.
