Louise Lombard to return to CSI

CSIIt’s been reported that Louise Lombard is to reprise her role of Sofia Curtis on CSI.

CSITVLine have confirmed that British actress Louise Lombard is to reprise her role of Sofia Curtis on CSI. The actress will return to CSI for an episode during the May sweeps. Lombard’s return is connected to the return of serial killer Nate Haskell in the series and the particular episode Lombard appears in will be connecting to the search for him – as reported sightings of the killer in Mexico come in.

“Sofia’s a deputy chief now. She’s gotten her shield and she has a real ‘take no prisoners’ attitude.” – Carol Mendelsohn, executive producer on TVLine

Mendelsohn also told TVLine that Sofia’s meeting with Langston (Laurence Fisburne) do not go smoothly commenting “Langston becomes involved because Sofia wants to call in the feds, since they’ve now had Haskell sightings in Mexico and all over, which means he’s clearly not in Vegas. Of course, Langston begs to differ”.

Louise Lombard played the role of Sofia Curtis on CSI between 2004 and 2007. The British actress is probably most familiar to UK audiences for her role in the BBC 1990s series House of Eliott. Since leaving CSI in 2007 Lombard appeared in the pilot for NCIS: Los Angeles and also in Miami Medical and Stargate Universe. Mendlesohn hinted that while her return to CSI is initially just for one episode her character would return again, possibly for the season finale.
