Michael Sheen to appear in Doctor Who

Michael Sheen is the latest guest-star confirmed for the forthcoming new series of Doctor Who.

The actor revealed he guest appearance in the next series of Doctor Who during a talk to students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. It was later confirmed by writer Neil Gaiman. Sheen will appear in the fourth episode of the new series, penned by Gaiman, which also guest stars Suranne Jones.

Michael Sheen is known for a variety of roles including playing Kenneth Williams in the BBC biopic Fantabulosa. He has played the former Prime Minister Tony Blair twice in The Queen and The Special Relationship and played David Frost in Frost/Nixon. His other notable credits include Tron: Legacy, The Damned United, The Battle for Rome and 30 Rock. Sheen joins confirmed guest-stars for the next series such as Hugh Bonneville, David Walliams, Stuart Milligan, Mark Sheppard, Alex Kingston, James Corden, Lily Cole and Lee Ross.
