Vanessa Feltz faces Channel 5 axe
Vanessa Feltz’s new Channel Five chat-show reportedly faces the axe because of low ratings.
The Vanessa Show launched on Five in January with some fanfare but consistently poor ratings. The new show rated lower than the much criticised which has recently been replaced by Live From Studio FiveOK! TV. Ratings for The Vanessa Show reportedly, at one point, dropped to as low as 60,000 viewers and according to latest reports the series averages only 100,000 viewers per edition.
The Vanessa Show was moved from its morning slot to an afternoon slot in a move by Channel Five prompted by audience research. However, the move has seemingly not improved its ratings and now The Mirror reports that bosses are poised to axe the chat-show. While a spokesperson for Channel Five has denied such plans its unlikely the broadcaster will allow the show to continue for much longer while attracting such low figures.
