Roger Howarth returning to One Life to Live

One Life to LiveRoger Howarth is to return to ABC soap One Life to Live but will he be reprising his role of Todd Manning?

Soap Opera Digest has confirmed that actor Roger Howarth is returning to the soap after much speculation and debate by fans over the past year or so. The actor played Todd Manning on the soap from 1992 to 2003 (with breaks in 1995 and 1998). The actor bowed out in 2003 to join the cast of CBS soap As The World Turns where he remained until its cancellation last year.

However, Howarth’s exit from One Life to Live wasn’t the end of the road for the character as new actor Trevor St. John took over – as the character seemingly had plastic surgery. So now fans are wondering just how Howarth is to return to One Life to Live – will he be reprising his role? Will he be playing an impostor or will he be an identical twin brother? The soap itself isn’t keen to give away any details merely stating that it had lined up a “great story planned that will involve both actors.” says Frankie Valentini, executive producer of the soap.

Fans will have to wait a little while longer though for the return of Howarth as he doesn’t begin filming on One Life to Live until May. His return though will be a welcome boost to the soap which, like its sister All My Children, has been dogged by cancellation rumours for some time now.
