CBBC to pay tribute to Elisabeth Sladen

The BBC has announced a special tribute programme to actress Elisabeth Sladen, who died earlier this week following a battle with cancer, will air on CBBC on Saturday following the season six premier of Doctor Who.

The special 15 minute programme will be titled My Sarah Jane: A Tribute to Elisabeth Sladen. It will air on the CBBC channel directly after the return of Doctor Who on BBC One. Doctor Who returns at 6pm with the special tribute at 6.45pm on CBBC followed by Doctor Who Confidential on BBC Three at 7pm. The programme will feature friends and colleagues of the actress and will cover her time in Doctor Who from joining the programme in 1973 through to the current day and her spin-off series The Sarah Jane Adventures.
