Cady McClain likely to return to All My Children

Actress Cady McClain is likely to reprise her role of Dixie Cooney on ABC soap All My Children before its finale in September.

Reports from America claim the actress is likely to head back to Pine Valley once more in the coming months. If the reports are true it’ll be the first returned to the soap to be announced since news of its cancellation. However, McClain was in talks about returning to the soap before it was cancelled and thus her return isn’t a response to it.

McClain’s last appearance as Dixie Cooney in Pine Valley was in April 2010 having played the character on/off for various stints since 1998. Her appearances since 2007 come despite her charactering having been controversially killed off in a serial killer storyline. Her last appearance in AMC was welcoming someone into heaven!

It’s possible in the wake of All My Children’s cancellation that producers of the soap will true to tempt back former stars to appear in the series once more ahead of its finale in September.
