SKY and ESPN team up to broadcast FA Cup in 3D
ESPN Jointly has announced with Sky, that the FA Cup Final in May will be in 3D. The match between Stoke and Manchester City will be on channel 217, on SKY 3D but will remain a ESPN production.
The news highlights further the close bond between Sky and ESPN as in the past Sky have helped out ESPN in terms of producing live football games.
John Cassy, Sky 3D Channel Director said: “Sky’s 3D story continues at pace. With Sky Sports continuing to break new ground, and with the addition of the best of ESPNN’s live 3D coverage, Sky’s customers are enjoying the richest 3D experience available.”
The FA Cup Final on May 14th is available on ITV1 and ESPN, and the 3D coverage available to home subscribers and Pubs will be the first of two football finals this month in this dimension as the Champions League Final on May 28th at Wembley is also in 3D.
