Viewers turn off Don't Scare the Hare

Don't Scare the HareBBC One’s bizarre and blasted new game-show Don’t Scare The Hare lost a quarter of its audience last night.

The odd new game show is fronted by Jason Bradbury and launched last week but failed to make an impact on the ratings then with just 1.9 million viewers. Many bemused viewers took to Twitter, Facebook and internet forums to blast the game-show with some believing it was a one-off tie-in for Easter. It seems as though viewers are still not impressed with Don’t Scare the Hare as only 1.4 million viewers returned for yesterday’s second instalment.

We should point out, of course, that the hot weather and the extra long bank holiday weekend has seen ratings across the board drop yesterday as viewers opted for the outdoors rather than a throwback from the 1970s. However, considering the criticisms levelled at the show over the past week and its poor launch last week the hot weather can’t be held completely responsible for the Hare’s lack of success.
