ITV orders second series of Kidnap and Ransom
ITV has ordered a second series of the Trevor Eve drama Kidnap and Ransom.
The three-part drama aired on ITV1 in January and met with generally good reviews. It starred Trevor Eve as international hostage negotiator Dominic King and also starred John Hannah, Helen Baxendale and Emma Fielding. ITV has ordered an additional three episodes of Kidnap and Ransom to make a second series of the crime drama. The new three episodes will reportedly focus on Dominic’s attempts to try and save a group of tourists who are taken hostage in India.
Kidnap and Ransom was made for ITV by Trevor Eve’s own production company who are also making the forthcoming Waking the Dead spin-off, The Body Farm, for BBC One. The new series of Kidnap and Ransom will begin filming in September in South Africa.
