Monday Ratings: Britain's Got Talent Dominates Ratings
The first semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent dominated the ratings last night with nearly 11 million viewers while Coronation Street rose above 10 million viewers in its 9pm slot.
According to overnight figures Britain’s Got Talent had 10.9 million viewers for ITV1 between 7.30pm and 9pm. The results show at 9.30pm also had high ratings with 10 million viewers tuning in. Monday evening was a strong one for ITV1 all round with its soaps also delivering high ratings. At 7pm Emmerdale revealed its brand new titles, logo and theme tune (hasn’t gone down well which fans, for more see here >>) to 7.2 million viewers. In a later slot that usual Coronation Street pulled in 10.4 million viewers at 9pm.
Unsurprisingly ratings for other channels were lower due to the strong performance of ITV. At 7.30pm on BBC One Saints and Scroungers had 4.2 million viewers while EastEnders suffered heavily with 5.2 million viewers at 8pm. The BBC Three repeat at 10pm saw a rise in viewers though with 1.6 million viewers watching. At 8.30pm on BBC One Egypt’s Lost Cities had 4.3 million viewers.
