Tuesday Ratings: Britain's Got Talent continues ratings dominance
Britain’s Got Talent continued to dominate the ratings on Tuesday evening as EastEnders and Holby City suffered at the hands of the ratings giant.
According to overnight figures the second Britain’s Got Talent semi-final attracted 9.4 million viewers with a peak audience of 10.5 million viewers. The results show at 9.30pm had just under 9 million viewers. Once again ITV1 had a very strong line up with Emmerdale at 7pm pulling in 6.9 million viewers and Coronation Street, sandwiched between the two Britain’s Got Talent shows, had 10.2 million viewers at 9pm.
Unsurprisingly once again the other channels suffered as a consequence with both EastEnders and Holby City seeing their ratings slump. EastEnders had 5.8 million viewers at 7.30pm but the BBC Three repeat 1.4 million viewers at 10pm – a higher than normal figure. Holby City at 8pm had 3.7 million viewers. At 9pm on BBC One Crimewatch had 3.1 million viewers while The Secret Millionaire on Channel Four had 1 million viewers.
