Larry Hagman and Linda Gray reunite for new Qantas advert
Dallas actors Larry Hagman and Linda Gray – who have recently reprised their roles on Dallas for a new TNT pilot – have reunited once more for an advert for the airline Qantas.
The Sun reports the two – who played husband and wife J.R Ewing and Sue Ellen – are fronting the adverts for the new route between Sydney and Dallas. The banner under the promotion reads “Dallas Returns” – a nod to the fact the super-soap is returning to screens in a new pilot by TNT designed to launch a brand new series. The new pilot – a continuation of the original series – also see’s Patrick Duffy reprise his role of Bobby Ewing alongside Charlene Tilton and Steve Kanaly – fellow original stars.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the broadcast of the new Dallas hoping it will be successful enough for TNT to commission a brand new series. The original Dallas ran between 1978 and 1991 also spawning spin-off Knots Landing (1979 – 1993) and television movies Dallas: The Early Years (1986), Dallas: J.R Returns (1996) and Dallas: War of the Ewings (1998).
