True Blood character to turn gay

The fourth season of vampire drama True Blood will turn a previously ‘straight’ character gay.

Michael Ausiello of TV Line has revealed the twist for the forthcoming new season of the Alan Ball drama. The previously thought-of-as-straight character will also enter into a same-sex relationship once they realise they are gay. Ausiello promised the reveal would “make sense” once the initial shock wears off.

Ausiello didn’t reveal which character would be turning gay in the new season  of True Blood and didn’t give any clues or hints either – such as revealing the gender of the said character. It’s sparked off plenty of speculation amongst fans though. True Blood has previously been praised for its wide range of diverse characters including gay and bisexual characters – with Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), Jesus Velasquez (Kevin Alejandro) and Pam (Kristin Bauer) such three such examples.
