Dante's Cove fans launch petition for fourth series
Fans of Here!’s supernatural gay series Dante’s Cove have launched a petition for a fourth season of the drama.
Following the third series in 2007 a fourth season was commissioned by here! however production was halted because of the writers strike. It was then announced that production on the fourth series would begin in the Autumn of 2009 but ultimately it didn’t happen – for unknown reasons. Now fans of Dante’s Cove have launched a petition to ensure a fourth series goes ahead. So far over 2000 people have signed the petition.
The supernatural drama stars Tracy Scoggins, William Gregory Lee, Gregory Michael, Michelle Wolff and Charlie David. Queer as Folk actress Thea Gill joined the cast at the start of its second season, credited as a special guest-star, while other cast members include Jensen Atwood, Reichen Lehmkuhl and Jon Fleming. All three seasons have been released on DVD in the UK.
The supernatural drama revolves around a group of witches and warlocks on the small island of Dante’s Cove, somewhere off the coast of America. The main protagonists of the series are Grace Neville (Tracy Scoggins) and Ambrosius Vallin (William Gregory Lee) who, at the start of the series, are engaged to be married. Discovering her finance’s homosexual affair a vengeful Grace kills his lover and locks Ambrosius in a cellar only for him to be freed 200 years later by new arrival Kevin (Gregory Michael).
