Here TV announces new series of Dante's Cove
Premium gay network here! has announced the fourth season of Dante’s Cove, its supernatural drama, will go ahead.
The much delayed fourth season was originally slated to begin production in 2008 but was delayed because of the writers strike in America. It was then announced that production would start in the Autumn of 2009 but for unknown reasons filming never took place. Since then fans of Dante’s Cove have been anxiously awaiting news of their favourite supernatural series – they even launched a petition to get a fourth season to happen.
here! have now revealed that a fourth season has indeed been ordered with a premier date – this may well change – of late 2011. The network announces it is “reimagines” Dante’s Cove for the new series which is titled Book of Tresum. The season will consist of eight episodes but they’ll be 30 minutes long instead of the previous hour long instalments. The press release states The Dante’s Cove saga continues as the secrets, intrigues, and mysteries of Dante’s Cove arise far away from its island origins. The new chapter begins as the protectors of the “Book of Tresum” seek out the only individual who can unite the Houses of the Sun and the Moon.
It’s unclear whether it’ll be an entirely new cast for the fourth season or whether previous cast members will return. The first three seasons centred around the characters of Grace (Tracy Scoggins), Ambrosius (William Gregory Lee), Kevin (Gregory Michael) and Toby (Charlie David). Other prominent characters included Van (Nadine Heimann), Adam (Jon Fleming) Brit (Michelle Wolff), Diana (Thea Gill), Griff (Jensen Atwood) and Trevor (Reichen Lehmkuhl).
The network has not announced whether it has renewed fellow supernatural series The Lair for a fourth season or not.
