Fans of the business reality show watched Melody Hossaini become the latest candidate to be fired by Lord Sugar. It easily won its slow over ITV 1’s Lewis, which began an hour earlier at 8.00pm, attracting an average of 4 million viewers.
Channel 4’s 24 Hours In A&E continued to do well for the station, attracting 2.7million viewers. The ongoing phone hacking story provided a boost for BBC Two’s Newsnight which picked up 1.4million viewers. There have been reports recently that the programme was in trouble as it failed to get above 500,000 viewers.
