Strong return for Law and Order UK

{jcomments on}The return of ITV’s crime/legal drama Law and Order UK was seen by nearly 6 million viewers last night.

The fifth season of the drama, based on the American version created by Dick Wolf, saw new cast members Peter Davison and Dominic Rowan join the likes of Jamie Bamber, Bradley Walsh and Freema Agyeman. The fifth season opened with The Wrong Man which had 5.9 million viewers. That figure is Law and Order’s best performance since its second season in 2009. The third and fourth seasons struggled in the ratings as they aired in different slots than the first two. The fourth season, which launched in March, opened with only 4.3 million viewers.
