All My Children to re-launch online days after television finale
{jcomments on}It’s been revealed that All My Children will re-launch online just days after it finishes its run on ABC.
It was revealed last week that ABC had signed a deal with Prospect Park to keep its cancelled soaps All My Children and One Life to Live alive after their respective television finales. The two soaps will continue online and ABC reassured fans the soaps would be in the “same format” and “same length” they have enjoyed for over 40 years on television. Few more details about the move from television to the internet were revealed at the time.
Now TV Guide are reporting that All My Children will move premier online the following Monday from its Friday television finale. The magazine also reports that head writer Lorraine Broderick and producer Julie Carruthers will remain in their current roles. The big question fans will be asking themselves though is which cast members will stay with the soap and which will leave. Well TV Guide reports that original star Susan Lucci will remain ‘in some capacity’. Over the past months there have been reports the actress will join ABC’s prime-time drama Desperate Housewives. So could this mean that Susan Lucci will drop down to recurring status to accommodate a possible move to Wisteria Lane?
