Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith to leave Glee after third season
{jcomments on}Actors Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and Lea Michele will be amongst the cast who will leave Glee after its third season.
Creator and showrunner Ryan Murphy had said the third season would be the last for some characters as they would graduate at the end of the series and new characters would be introduced. Now it has emerged that three of those actors who will depart at the end of the season will be Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and Lea Michele, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Chris Colfer plays the hugely popular gay teen Kurt, Lea Michele plays Rachel and Cory Monteith plays Finn.
“We always knew we’d graduate in real time. It’s all part of the plan and it’s all good! It’s going to make Season 3 amazing!!!. To Gleeks everywhere, you’re in my heart now and forever. Love u all!!! This is just the beginning!!” – Lea Michele writing on Twitter
The three actors probably won’t be the only ones to depart at the end of Glee’s third season but they are the first to be announced. It will be interesting to see how Glee fans react to the news given their response to the Chord Overstreet’s possible departure from the series. The actor, who plays Sam Evans, was dropped the show’s cast but may return for “occasional” appearances but rumours recently point to a possible full time return after a campaign by fans.
