71 Degrees North returns to ITV
ITV is to screen a second series of adventure show, 71 Degrees North, set amongst the icy glaciers and snowy landscape of Scandinavia.
“The adrenaline-fuelled programme will once again mix spectacular experiences and pure danger with sheer entertainment and breathtaking scenery.” ITV state. They add, “Culminating inside the Arctic Circle, this eight part adventure series stars 10 celebrities, fighting their way to the most northern part of mainland Europe. Along the way, tempers will rise and temperatures will plummet. Getting there will require every ounce of strength they have.”
The show, hosted by Paddy McGuinness and Charlotte Jackson, follows ten “celebrities” as they battle their way through a tough journey to North Cape, 71° North of the equator.
This years’ list of famous faces, ready to battle the immense pressure of arctic conditions, musician turned actor Martin Kemp, actress Brooke Kinsella, hairstylist Nicky Clarke, celebrity gardener, famous for her large boobs, Charlie Dimmock, television presenter Rav Wilding, actress and Loose Women pannelist Lisa Maxwell, former EastEnders actor Sean Maguire, television and radio presenter Angellica Bell, Coronation Street actor John Thompson and sports star Amy Williams.
“For the ten stars facing this epic challenge, they will encounter harsh conditions that will see the teams bonding for survival. Along the way, friendships will form and adventures will be had but ultimately, the celebrities are battling it out for themselves.” ITV adds.
Only one celebrity will make it all the way to The North Cape and be crowned winner of 71 Degrees North. The show, yet to be schedulled, will air we’re told in the early Autumn.
