Sarah Brown to join Days of our Lives
{jcomments on}Former The Bold and the Beautiful actress Sarah Brown is to join the cast of NBC soap Days of our Lives later this year.
The actress played Agnes Jones on CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful between 2009 until earlier this year. The actress was then taken off-contract by the soap and dropped to ‘recurring’ status. Brown was one of several B&B actors – over recent months – to be dropped from the regular cast with others including Ashley Jones and Winsor Harmon. Now it has been revealed that Brown will be joining the cast of NBC’s last remaining soap Days of our Lives.
Entertainment Weekly report the actress will play the new character of Madison James, a ‘powerful CEO’. On joining the soap the actress said “Days of our Lives is one of television’s historic gems. I’m excited to join such a talented cast to portray such a strong yet feminine character that will inspire our female viewers.”
The NBC soap has undergone some cast changes recently as it “re-freshes” itself with actresses Crystal Chappell and Louise Sorel being dropped from the cast but fan favourites Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Patrick Muldoon and Christie Clark lined up to reprise their respective roles. The NBC soap has also brought onboard 90210 actor Freddie Smith to play a new character heralding the soap’s first ever same-sex relationship.
Sarah Brown is something of a soap veteran with stints in General Hospital (as Carly Corinthos, later as Claudia) and As The World Turns (as Julia Larrabee).
