Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer NOT leaving Glee?
{jcomments on}Turns out that Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith might not be leaving Glee after all.
Despite previous and wide-spread media reports claiming the three actors would leave the series at the end of its third season it now appears all three will remain part of the cast. That contradicts what showrunner Ryan Murphy said when he confirmed all three were graduating and would not be part of the fourth season. However, at the Comic Con panel for Glee that seemingly is no longer the case. “They are not done with the show after this season. Because they’re graduating doesn’t mean they’re leaving the show. If you have Lea Michele under contract, you don’t just say, ‘We’re going to let you go.’” producer Brad Falchuck told the gathered fans of the show.
It seems though that Monteith, Michele and Colfer’s characters will still graduate at the end of the third season but they will remain part of the cast – perhaps as Glee follows them to college ala Gossip Girl. One actor who is still leaving the series – at least at the moment – is Chord Overstreet who will not be appearing in the first batch of episodes. A campaign by fans of Glee was launched to get the actor back into the musical comedy but it hasn’t worked – yet.
